This week alone Beyonce released two brand new singles from her upcoming album dropping on November 18. The two singles “Single Ladies” and “If I were a Boy” debuted across country releasing one of the two videos to come “If I were a boy”.
Personally, I’m feeling the single “Single Ladies”, but “If I were a boy”…not so much. It just seems Bee went as far away from R&B/Soul as she could possibly go…she practically got her Jessica Simpson on. I just don’t see this song growing on me but the video is cool though.

Well, as rap critics, you would think that this wasn’t much. However, as a MUSIC critc, it should be seen as her best work. Why, because of her ability to sing this song with the power, class, and style that she did proves her diversity. The power to be great when most would consider her “out of her element”. This is a quality, heart felt song. It should be reviewed for what it is. A masterpiece by a woman who is expanding her horizons. Oh and yes there is a message. But not liking or feeling that message makes you blind.
